I grew up in a reindeer herding family in Tornedalen where the men worked with the reindeer and the women took care of a small holding. We relied entirely on what we produced ourselves, using everything from the reindeer and from nature around us. This knowledge became very useful when the dream of Viddernas Hus was realized in 2002. There I use not only my knowledge in traditional food but also herbs.

Later on I became head teacher at Samernas Utbildningscenter with  courses in traditional cooking and since then I have worked with courses all around Sapmi teaching about herbs, traditional food and slaughter.
